Spirit, let's hear it, library lovers! We invite you to come out for our second annual Spirit Week in celebration of National Library Week, April 6-12, 2025.  This year's theme is "Drawn to the Library," and we have a "palette" of art-inspired fun planned for you!

Wednesday, April 9:  Primary Colors Day

Hooray for National Outreach Day!  At Lafourche Parish Public Library, we strive to educate, enrich, & entertain Lafourche communities ... wherever they are!  Whether we provide library services & resources within our walls or take those services & resources outside of our buildings & into our communities, we remain focused on our primary purpose - serving YOU!

How to Celebrate Primary Colors Day:

  • Wear:  Dress in a primary color (red, yellow, or blue) today to celebrate our primary purpose - serving our communities & meeting their wants & needs.
  • Do:  Fill a bag of books & magazines from our Friends of the Library Book Sale for $2, while supplies last.  Bags will be provided.
  • Share:  "What's your primary reason for being a library lover?" (Share with us in-branch or on social media!)
  • Check-Out:  Check out a primary-colored item (red, yellow, or blue) to earn today's themed button!
  • Win:  Enter your name into our LPPL Swag Prize drawing by visiting the library today.
