Week Calendar

(Adults) Zen Fusion is designed to be a unique blend of peaceful yet powerful, traditional tai chi movements and light cardio training set to motivating music to start our Mondays off with a calm beginning.

(Adults) Come to the library and exercise to low impact videos with other adults. 

(Adults) If you have a weighted hoop or you’re thinking about getting one (we have extras) join us for this Fit&Fun class.

(Adults) Stretching exercises lengthen muscles to improve flexibility and range of motion while strengthening exercises increase muscle bulk to improve force.  We will utilize light weights for these exercises.

(Adults) Kick up your heels and have a ball with others at the library. Learn new line dances or practice old ones. Though aimed at beginners, all levels are welcomed!

(Adults) Come to the library and exercise to low impact videos with other adults. 

(Adults) Move & Groove is designed to use a fusion of Club, Urban, and Latin dance styles. We will follow YouTube instructional videos to find our fitness groove. All fitness levels are welcome! Water will be provided.

(Ages 19-up) Will luck be on your side as the numbers are called?  Have a great time while we play multiple rounds of BINGO for prizes.

(All Ages) Get your move on at story time with stories, exercise, and a simple craft.

(All Ages) We will present tools to help your family get the most out of the library.

(Ages 0-3): Join us for this story time, especially designed for babies and toddlers, that incorporates stories with music, activities, play and socializing. 

(Adults) A repeat of our popular Cardio Crew Class – Low impact cardio, strength and stretching.

(All Ages) Enjoy a story hour for children that incorporates finger plays, song and dance, and ends with a craft.

(Adults) Join us for a morning flow of art therapy with acrylic paint on canvas. Registration is required.

(All Ages) A story hour for young children and their caregivers that includes learning through stories, movement, and fun activities.

(Ages 0-3) An interactive story time geared towards infants and toddlers.

(Adults): Add some festive fall décor to your home with this hanging wall art.

(Ages 18+) A yoga class that concentrates on easygoing exercise while sitting in a chair that will help with joints and maintaining mobility.

(All Ages) Are you a homeschooler? Are you thinking about homeschooling? Would you like to meet other families who homeschool? Join us at the library for some board game fun!

(Ages 0-3) Learn through stories, movement, and fun activities catered to younger children.

(Ages 12-18): Are you interested in art? Come join us in our new sketchbook club! Each meeting will be filled with creative activities, games, and collaborative exercises to fuel your creativity!

(All Ages): Everyone is invited to join us in a morning of movement, singing, and stories. Come join the fun! 

(All Ages) Start your Books Before Challenge at your library with reading, crafts, dance, and play every Tuesday at 11:00 A.M.

(All Ages) A story time for children that includes singing, dancing, play, and other fun activities!

(Ages 0-4) Join us for a celebration to kick off another year of 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to register children not already in kindergarten for this engaging, reading program.

(All Ages) Adults will receive information about the program and be able to register their kids for this great program that promotes literacy in infants to high school children. 

(Ages 18+) A yoga class centered around gentle, easygoing movements intended to exercise joints and maintain mobility.

(All Ages) Join us as we introduce and demonstrate World Book Online, a great research tool for kids. Demonstration will be followed by a craft.

(Ages 6-11) Rachel Bellanger with Cajun Heirloom Crocheting will hold two beginners’ workshops in September. Children will have hands-on instruction in learning different crocheting techniques. Registration is required.

(Ages 8-11) Learn basic engineering, electronics and circuitry concepts by using building components with snaps to assemble electronic circuits.

(All Ages) Learn and get your science on with this hands on experiment.

(Ages 5-12): September is Library Card Sign-up Month. For this Munch Bunch, we’ll be making edible Transformer Autobots, the Library Card Sign-up Month ambassadors.

 (Ages 2 and up) Children play and create with play dough.

(Kids) Getting ready for Fall? This owl will be a great addition to your fall décor.

(All Ages) The Larose Library will be showing Sony Pictures’ The Garfield Movie.  Refreshments provided.

(All Ages) All are welcome to the Bingo Markers Club for a fun afternoon of Bingo and a chance to win some great prizes.
